-Chiapas, Mexico, 1994-1995, where i covered the Zapatista Uprising and traveled extensively throughout the mountainous state.

I am a certified sailor and was crew member on a 40 foot sailboat in the Recife-Fernando de Noronha Regatta (Brazil) in 2002. I also won second place in the regatta photo contest. I have made a total of 4 ocean passages.
